Beam splitters with lateral offset generate two output beams with a fixed distance to each other. The beam splitters consist of a high-precision rhomboid prism cemented to a rectangular prism. The narrow tolerances ensure that the output beams have a very precise parallelism. An AR (anti-reflective) coating is applied to the input and output surfaces.
